Barbara Walker & Julia Keenan Artist Talks in the James Hockey Gallery




UCA Farnham Fine Art students have been able to engage with the work currently exhibited in the James Hockey and Foyer Galleries, that current exhibits the work of artist in residence Barbara Walker and alumni artist Julia Keenan.

Both artists recently gave a talk about their practice and how they developed their new work for the galleries. Students were able to ask questions and discuss the artist's process the issues that arise from the work. Students were able to gain further insight into "making an exhibition" and can continue to engage with Barbara Walker as her residency continues.

UCA Farnham Fine Art Alumni, Alison Carlier who graduated in 2002 and was the winner of the 2014 Jerwood Drawing Prize, that is currently touring the UK, has work exhibiting as part of a residency at Grove Projects.

UCA Farnham Fine Art Student Success - Alicia Tsigardes

UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Alicia Tsigarides, who graduated in 2011, has been selected to be an artist in residence at Cite des Arts Paris throughout February and March. This is Alicia's 3rd artist residency since graduation.

UCA Farnham Fine Art Student Success - Lizy Bending


UCA Farnham Fine Art student Lizy Bending has work exhibiting in 3 current shows! From this week Lizy has work in the Ochre Print Studio's Summer Show in Guildford, whilist also taking part in the Beyond Limit Speed, UCA Fine Art graduate exhibition at A&D Gallery this coming week in London. 
Ahead of graduation, Lizy also embarks on her first artist residency as part of the Gottwood Festival 2014 in Wales.
