UCA Farnham Fine Art Exhibition - FUTURITY

Students studying Fine Art at UCA Farnham across Foundation, BA (Hons) Fine Art and MA Fine Art, submitted exhibition proposals for an open call exhibition to showcase their talents.

70 applications were received proposing 140 words in total, and from these high quality submissions the curatorial panel had the difficult task of putting together the exhibition. 23 works were chosen and the  exhibition will open on Thursday 17th April, utilising 5 exhibition spaces across the Farnham campus.

Foundation Fine Art - 1 Hour Sculpture!

Today at UCA Farnham Fine Art, Foundation Diploma students from UCA Epsom come to our studios to engage with staff. After a sharp contextual briefing the students engaged with a 1 hour sculpture project entitled: PIMP MY PLINTH!

Students worked in pairs or individually to explore the material, spatial and conceptual opportunities of working with a plinth and limited art materials. Within the constraints they produced very diverse and interesting responses with painting, sculpture and performance.

Below is some of what happened...

Fine Art Students across Further Education & Higher Education, Collaborate for Exhibition at UCA Farnham

Student's studying on the Foundation Diploma and Access Fine Art course pathways at UCA Farnham recently visited Venice for the Biennale.

Before departing each student was given a postcard from Farnham to take to Venice with them, and to explore the creative possibilities of making a work of art with the postcard.

Today the students worked together with BA (Hons) Fine Art students to curate an exhibition of their postcard art in the CASE gallery at UCA Farnham. The private view for the exhibition their work opens this Thursday.
