Grant Petrey in Altered States at Electro Space & Studios, St Leonards



UCA Farnham Fine Art tutor, Grant Petrey has two films, Filament (2014) & Mesmer (2015), screening as part of the Altered States Programme at Electro Space & Studios. The films were curated by Toby Tatum and Mark French as part of Coastal Currents Festival 2015.

UCA Farnham Fine Art Student Success - Flo Yapp



UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Flo Yapp who graduated just over a year ago has relocated to Somerset now that she is working for the prestigious international gallery Hauser & Wirth, who have galleries in London, New York, Zurich & Somerset.

Over the past year since graduating Flo has curated the exhibition Fresh is More at the APG in Sheffield, completed an artist residency at 44AD Studio and curating the exhibition Pretty in Pink at the Roper Gallery as well working with the prestigious Arnolfini Gallery in Bath and having work in the Bath Arts Open 2015.

UCA Farnham Fine Art student Timothy Holt, who graduated in 2011, has an exhibition in Bristol at The Gallery, The Island entitled Bags for Life. The exhibition encompasses performative sculpture in response to household items. The exhibition opens on 22nd August.

UCA Farnham Fine Art Student Success - Salad Days Exhibition



UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Anna Garrett who graduated just over a year ago, has recently curated an exhibition of alumni fine art called Salad Days at the Farnham Maltings. 


Anna, who has worked in London with Zeitgiest Arts Projects and Oxford House Gallery and exhibited 9 times in the past year, now turns her skills towards exhibition management.



The exhibition is open now until September and includes the work of this years graduates from Fine Art; Julia Keenan, James Johns and Asia Pettitt.

UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Peter Hanmer who graduated just over a year ago has work currently being exhibited in London at in a sculpture exhibition "Double Tree" at Hilton Docklands. 



Peter has 2 works "Regressive Flight" and Impending Desolation" being exhibited for the next 6 months.
This is Peters 9th exhibition since graduation.

UCA Farnham Student Success - James Johns in BBC Float Art London 2015



UCA Farnham Fine Art student, James Johns, who graduated last month in the class of 2015, is another student who has reached the final of Float Art  London 2015, that is part of the BBC Arts Get Creative Project. 

James along with Julia Keenan and  Max Leach is 1 of 50 finalists from graduate entries across the country with his bronze sculptures. The exhibition will take place in October at OXO on London's South Bank. By being shortlisted James, Julia and Max have the chance to win the £3,000 Float Art London Prize as well as exhibit their work and gain increased exposure.

This is James' 4th gallery exhibition within the past year.

UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Julia Keenan, who graduated last month in the class of 2015, is another student who has reached the final of Float Art  London 2015, that is part of the BBC Arts Get Creative Project.

Grant Petrey in ACM Siggraph 2015 at the Los Angeles Convention Centre, California


UCA Farnham Fine Art tutor, Grant Petrey has work screening at Siggraph 2015 - The 42nd International Conference and Exhibition on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques,
at the Los Angeles Convention Centre, California, USA from the 9th - 13th August.

The video work, Filament (2014) was curated by Kathy Rae Huffman for Enhanced Vision taking part in conjunction with ACM Siggraph 2015 & Digital Arts Community.

UCA Farnham Fine Art Student Success - Global News Coverage for Hilde Krohn Ruse



As reported earlier UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Hilde Krohn Huse who graduated on 2012 has been selected for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2015 from a very competitive field. Hilde's work "Hanging in the Woods" will be exhibited at the ICA London and then tour the UK.

The story of Hilde's work broke last week and went viral, but this week sees her gaining coverage in over 200 publications world wide!  Including being interviewed by The Times, BBC Radio and closing the BBC's flagship current affairs review programme Newsnight.

UCA Farnham Fine Art Student Success - Max Leach in Final of BBC FloatArt London 2015



UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Max Leach, who graduated last month in the class of 2015, has reached the final of FloatArt  London 2015, that is part of the BBC Arts Get Creative Project. 

Max is 1 of 50 finalist from graduate entries across the country with his artist film Chit Chat (2014) that was exhibited in the exhibition Consume in the Foyer Hockey Gallery earlier this year. By being shortlisted Max has the change to win the £3,000 Float Art London Prize.
