UCA Farnham Fine Art Student Success - Julia Keenan



UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Julia Keenan who graduated in the class of 2015 last month is working with V & P Tassis Art Foundry in Athens. 

A representative from the Art Foundry approached Julia during her campus graduate exhibition at UCA Farnham and invited her to work with them for the the production of new work. 

Julia's post media installation included bronze casts that were made in UCA Farnham's excellent casting facilities.

UCA Farnham Fine Art Student Success - Menier Gallery Exhibition



UCA Farnham Fine Art students, Lizy, Bending, Charlotte Johnson, Peter Hanmer and Morwenna Lake have work in the Summer Exhibition at the Menier Gallery in South London. The students who graduated 1 year ago have all gone on to have success with residencies and exhibition opportunities. 

Lizy has exhibited 20 times since graduating and completed 2 artist residencies within the past year!
Charlotte has exhibited on 9 occasions since graduating.
Peter has exhibited work in 8 exhibitions, including at The Discerning Eye at the Mall Galleries, London.
Morwenna has exhibited in 9 exhibition within the past year.

The exhibition opens on 28th July

UCA Farnham Fine Art Student Success - Mario Varas Sanchez



UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Mario Varas Sanchez who graduated in 2014 has work exhibited in the group exhibition "Office Sessions" in Beak Street, Soho, London. 

The exhibition takes place with a collective of creative practitioners who utilise disused spaces and transform them into galleries to exhibit work and make site based work in response to the location.

The exhibition opens on 28th July, 40 Beak Street, Soho, W1F 9RQ

Over the past year since graduating Mario has worked extensively with ArtHouse1 gallery in Bermondsey and built up a network to assist and work with a range of successful artists in London.

UCA Farnham Fine Art Student Success - Richard Goold & Lottie Jackson Eeles



UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Richard Goold who graduated in 2012 and Lottie Jackson Eeles who graduated in 2010 have been selected for the Griffin Gallery 2015 Open. 

The exhibition is open from 23rd July until 21st August in London. Richard was also put forward for the Winsdor & Newton Painting Prize 2015 as part of the exhibition and was highly commandant with 2nd place. Lottie was put forward for the Conte a Paris Drawing Prize and also received a highly commended 2nd place.


This is Richard’s 13 exhibition or residency since graduation and it is Lotte’s 10th, as well as being included in the finalist for the Jerwood Drawing Prize touring exhibitions on two occasions.

UCA Farnham Fine Art Student Success - Alison McFadden Wins Ingot Prize 2015



UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Alison McFadden who is currently studying in year 2 of the MA in Fine Art has won the Ingot Prize 2015. 

Alison's work has been selected by a panel that included artist Daniel Silver to be 1 of 2 recipients of the prize who will have their work fabricated in bronze and exhibited at Robert Bowman Sculpture in Mayfair, London.

UCA Farnham Student Success - Hilde Krohn Huse



UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Hilde Krohn Huse, who graduated in 2012 has been selected for the Bloomberg new Contemporaries 2015. 

Her film Hanging in the Woods is currently causing a stir online with many news sites including The Observer and rather bizarrely The Daily Mail, reporting on Hilde's film and her success.

UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Laura Olohan who graduated last week as part of the class of 2015, moves into an assistant curator role at the prestigious Oriel Davies Gallery in Cardiff. 

Laura's success comes after building a network of experiences linked to professional practice throughout her time at UCA Farnham Fine Art where she worked continuously with Transition Gallery and worked with a host of artists and other UCA external projects.

UCA Farnham Fine Art Student Success - Cathryn Quail



UCA Farnham Fine Art student Cathryn Quail has been accepted to study an MRes at the Lux, Artist's Moving Image. Cathryn's achievement is impressive given there studentships are limit to just 7 places.

"LUX is an international arts agency for the support and promotion of artists’ moving image practice and the ideas that surround it. LUX exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists' moving image work; to provide professional development support for artists working with the moving image; and to contribute to and develop discourse around practice."
