UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Alison Carlier who graduated in 2002 has won this years Jerwood Drawing Prize, with a sound work that challenges the traditional materiality of drawing associated with the prize. Over the last week year 1 students have been inducted into the BA (Hons) Fine Art course at University for the Creative Arts, Farnham.
They have embarked on a project that introduced them to the excellent workshop spaces, met and worked with the dedicated technicians, and worked together in the studio.

Studio Site Project Students then worked to explore the questions around the institutional space of the artists studio. They produced speculative work, to test ideas and materials within 2 hours and then presented for group review.

This marks the first of many exhibition opportunities for the 1st year students.
UCA Farnham Fine Art student, Lizy Bending who graduated in July has just been announced the winner of the Recursive Project art prize. Lizy's work will be exhibited at No Format Gallery in London from 9th October.
UCA Farnham Fine Art tutor, Grant Petrey has work in the sonic arts performance, Metanast in Salford on Friday 26th September. The event supported by Ideas Tap is taking place at the Digital Performance Lab in MediaCityUK, Salford.
